How to Blog
So you've signed up for Quick Blog and you're faced with the virtual blank page. What do you do now? Time was, you could discuss what you had for lunch and display pictures of your cat doing feline things. Nowadays, blogging has become much more sophisticated and that sort of navel-gazing just isn't going to attract visitors.
ProBlogger has an excellent introductory series on Blogging for Beginners that is very helpful. It discusses how to write content with an eye towards gaining audience, how to make money off your blog, and how to drive traffic. Some of it doesn't apply to Quick Bloggers, but most of it is relevant.
Best of all, it can give you some guidance and distraction from the blank pixels awaiting you on the New Entry page.
Is there a way to use my typepad template in Quick Blog?
The templates, sadly, are not customizable beyond the Quick Edit features you've probably already seen. Your question, however, is not new and has been noted in our Log o' Improvements™*...

With future updates of quickblogger do you see the possibillity of having even more opportunities to personalize the side bar.
For instance could there be an area where users could copy and paste html code in order to add links and buttons for services/websites such as TECHNORATI?

I have been putting in entries by first logging into GoDaddy.com and then clicking through to the QuickBlog menu and using the "Manage Blog" to put in an entry.
Is there a way for me to add a blog entry by simply going to Blogger.DealsTicket.com and add a blog entry?
Do I have to add anything to my Blog page design? Is there a button that I need to add?
There is no way to do that currently and the nature of a hosted application is such that it likely won't ever work that way. I can't say never, but I do know that it would be exceedingly difficult.
That being said, we are looking into alternate ways of creating blog entries and managing your blog.

Hi there, I am new to Qucik Blog (using for two days). On my "New Entry" page there is no bar to upload images, change alignment, etc. Also, when I scroll over an "image/text" to change it, I can never seem to find the "Quick Edit" option. Help! Is Quick Blog non-Mac user friendly (I'm a mac user)?

Dependent on the browser type in use we may be described as being the slightest bit "unfriendly" towards them. Most of the blog team owns Macs and I can assure you it's nothing personal. We do not work with Safari at present,on the admin side, in the manner we'd like. Firefox on the Mac does work with Quick Blog. We'll certainly take this into consideratin for a future release.

I am having the same problem. I do not see any bar or drop down menu on my screen. I hit the return key at the end of paragraphs, but everything shows up online as a long runon paragraph. Why can't I make paragraph breaks or get access to a drop-down menu?

I was using the new beta version of IE, which seems to need some more work. It slowed down my internet browser so much that I switched to Firefox. Once I did that, the problem with your site went away and the toolbar/menu appeared where it was supposed to be.

While we are not actively supporting beta versions of browsers we're aware of the importance of IE7 and many Quick Blog owner's desire to use it. The rich text editor being one item that's absent from Quick Blog when using it with IE7. We're considering IE7 support for a future release of QuickBlog.

Is there away to rearrange the order of the blog entries. If you want to push something up or down the list ?
No, there is not. If you change the setting "# of entries to display" on the Settings > Entry Settings page to "All", it will reorder the blog entries from oldest to newest (instead of the default newest to oldest) but that's it.
The only other reorientation you can do is the tedious changing of entry timestamps via the Edit Entry page but I wouldn't recommend that. Unless it is vitally important, like someone's life or job depended on this entry coming before that one. But only you would know whether that's the case.

I have been trying to add mp3 files using the add file function. The mp3 sizes are about 2000kb. The blog do not upload them correctly. Are these mp3 files too large to upload onto the hosting?
